EMILY & LUKE

Imagine a quintessential English country garden made fit for royalty, and you’ve got an idea of how stunning Emily and Luke’s wedding was. Emily told me she wanted her marquee reception space to look like ‘a romantic palace’, and you can probably imagine just how happy that made me.

Roses and hydrangeas were the heroes of the day, with enormous overflowing urns at the entrance to the marquee, a flowing photo backdrop that looked like a gentle wave of flowers, and one of the biggest hanging hoops I have ever done above the central circular bar.

The pale creams, whites and pinks of the flowers contrasted beautifully with glossy, deep green foliage. The overall effect was one of serious luxury, without ever being too in your face. I love the way huge installations can nonetheless feel subtle or elegantly understated when approached creatively.

Beautiful wedding floral hanging hoop using roses, hydrangeas and green foliage.

Emily and Luke’s whole wedding was a wonderfully orchestrated celebration, with a dream team of talented suppliers making sure everything went smoothly. I was honoured to be part of such a special day, and am thrilled with the way the flowers turned out. What a gorgeous homage to English flowers - just beautiful!
