ELLIE &
SHANE

The brief for Ellie and Shane’s wedding is a great example of how two seemingly opposed looks can come together absolutely beautifully. Ellie wanted a relaxed, boho feel that was also unashamedly glam and opulent. This called for a moongate (a statement circular arch of flowers that makes real sculptural impact), and a lot of punchy pink! Ellie wanted the venue to feel filled with flowers, and she loves dried flowers and grasses (she’s a woman after my own heart!). I wove together pampas grasses and other neutral toned dried flowers with roses in the most gorgeous shade of candy pink.

I lined the aisle of the beautiful ceremony space at Oakwood Hall with grasses and roses, created statement buttonholes (cannot tell you how much I love a statement buttonhole and a groom who loves flowers!), and created tall table centres with feathery pale fronds of dried grass trailing downward.

Add in bud vases, copper cubes bursting with flowers and an awesome floral frame for the custom pink neon sign the couple had commissioned, and you’ve got the recipe for epic boho glam. I absolutely love it!
