What Happens When You Enquire With Your Yorkshire Wedding Florist
What Happens When You Enquire With Your Yorkshire Wedding Florist
When you choose me as your Yorkshire wedding florist, you’ll quickly discover that ‘bespoke’ blooms into a whole new meaning with Dittany Entwined. It all begins with our consultation and what has fondly been called The Proposal of Dreams, a highly detailed and immersive vision of how your wedding florals will look that allows you to truly connect with your design. Curating sculptural floral art for you is my pleasure, and these important first stages allow you to share in the excitement and joy of what will blossom into life on your wedding day.
Choosing a Yorkshire wedding florist can be overwhelming
Booking a consultation call with me might feel nervewracking, especially if you have concerns about budget, are worried about the ‘hard sell’ or are still unsure about exactly what you want for your wedding flowers. But here, consultations are about connection, and I’m genuinely here to help you get the most out of your budget and your day, however that looks. My process is designed to be easy, supportive and clear, and I’ll help guide you through ideas, the flow of your day, layouts and visual impact.
One of my special skills is helping you identify what actually matters to you and why. Sometimes this looks like helping couples land on the realisation that they don’t want a top table after all, because there will be too many people staring at them all evening. Other times it’s about helping you stay grounded by creating sensory experiences in your florals that can anchor you if you find crowds overwhelming.
Collaboration is central to the process, and you’ll never feel pushed into becoming a Dittany Entwined couple. I’m looking for a mutual ‘yes’, which starts with a consultation call that is totally transparent about the process, money, and your expectations.
What happens when you enquire?
I no longer charge a fee for consultation calls, instead keeping it a pressure-free environment that feels like a true conversation, not a pitch. We’ll have space to chat about your ideas, uncertainties and priorities, and forage for inspiration together. Everything matters; your favourite moments together; your love for interior design and art; where you’re heading for your honeymoon, and anything else that shows me your style. The consultation call, combined with the thoughtfully crafted follow-up questionnaire, are how I ensure your bespoke floral design grows into something that just drips with your personality, and feels like it could only ever be yours.
Your Proposal
After our call I’ll send through a mood board based on everything you’ve told me, and an accompanying video of me walking you through every suggestion, choice, and individual bloom. This is a visual direction rather than a fixed design, home-grown to give you reassurance that I see you and understand your wedding day vision. It will give you a feel of the atmosphere I’m proposing to create for your day, taking into account your venue and its architecture, your personal tastes, and anything specific you’ve told me about wedding day moments.
No two proposals are ever the same, because no two couples are.

After you say ‘yes’ to your Yorkshire Wedding Florist
At this point, we hope to have reached a mutual ‘yes’ about working together, but only after you’ve had time to reflect and everything feels right. I’m looking for alignment, not a sense of obligation, and want you to be as excited about me following your wedding as you were on your engagement day.
I believe in clarity and transparency around booking and payment processes, so there are no surprises or unexpected invoices. Once you say yes to us working together, you’ll be sent a contract to sign and the first invoice - 20% of your total to secure your wedding date in my diary.
Six months before your wedding, 50% of the total is due, with the remaining balance expected four weeks before. There are no hidden costs or last-minute additions or upsells, just one price split into easy-to-understand installments.
The Proposal of Dreams
Once we’re confirmed, the fun part begins, and I’ll design what has affectionately been called The Proposal of Dreams. This is where we refine and develop your wedding floral design, and it is specifically curated to be as detailed and visual as possible, allowing you to imagine exactly how things will look on your wedding day.
Attention to detail is key, and your proposal is as true to reality and transparent as possible. I will always obtain measurements from your wedding venue and ascertain what can be achieved in your spaces, meaning that the sketches, images, and pricing breakdown are highly accurate.
The great beauty of these true-to-life proposals is that you can immerse yourself in how your bespoke florals will look and feel on the day, and build excitement for the big reveal. Inclusions such as hand-painted and digital visual designs, details about focal flower choices, and consideration of the sensory experience really elevate this stage of the process.
Just as you try on your wedding dress, taste your menu, and see samples of your stationery ahead of the big day, so too should you be able to see your bespoke florals come to life before your wedding. This way, the only surprise on the big day will be just how playfully impactful, delicately fragrant, and luxuriously curated your blooms are.

How my process serves you, not just your wedding
I have evolved my process over the years because I know what’s important. I know that overthinkers need detailed communication, those with neurodivergence want to feel held, not overwhelmed, and that everybody cares about spending their budget wisely. I’ve thought about all of these things, avoiding over-designing or over-spending, and emphasising collaboration, support, and beautiful, flowing, cohesively curated florals for your wedding.
If this gentle, considered approach to booking your wedding florist resonates, you’re likely a good fit. If not, that’s okay too.
